Job summary <p><strong>Make a real impact on inpatient care through medicines optimisation.</strong></p><p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our Medicines Optimisation Team supporting inpatient services across Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES), Swindon, and Wiltshire. </p><p>This is a key role in delivering a safe, efficient, and high-quality ward-based pharmacy service within a community hospital setting. You will play a vital part in supporting medicines optimisation in line with national and local policies, helping to improve patient outcomes through the safe, effective, and cost-conscious use of medicines.</p><p>Key responsibilities will include supporting cost-effective prescribing, contributing to medicines budget management, reducing medicines wastage, and supporting wider medicines management and service improvement initiatives. You will work with a high degree of autonomy within agreed guidelines, using your initiative to support the delivery of the wider medicines optimisation strategy.</p><p>Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide professional medicines-related advice and support to clinicians, nursing staff, and patients. A key aspect of the role involves responding to daily medication queries and requests, requiring excellent communication skills, strong organisational ability, and a patient-centred approach.</p><p
