Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available within the busy Organisational Development Team in the Corporate Services division at BCHC.
We are looking for an ambitious, credible Organisational Development Manager, who recognises the benefits of listening to, valuing and engaging staff to improve both staff and patient experience.
The successful candidate will be working closely with Divisional Managers to support the Trust on a range of organisation development projects and interventions and will be joining a team of committed individuals who enjoy the challenges of working with all colleagues across the organisation and seeing the improvements achieved on a daily basis.
Main duties of the job
o You will have a passion for OD and Staff Engagement that delivers real, measurable benefits and help staff feel valued.
o You will be experienced in the design, development and evaluation of OD interventions.
o You will have an appreciation of the value of listening to staff, gathering Staff Opinion and be familiar with using Staff Survey feedback to shape and deliver OD and Staff Engagement initiatives and opportunities.
o You will have a confident manner and a proactive, consultative approach with stakeholders.
o You will have evidence of Continuous Professional Development
o You will have no line manager responsibilities
About us
BCHC has more than 5000 staff working across Birmingham and the West Midlands in a wide range of community nursing and specialist healthcare roles. BCHC delivers over 100 clinical services, in people's homes, health centres, clinics and inpatient facilities.
The Organisational Development (OD) team is part of the Workforce and OD directorate. We are a small team who work closely with colleagues in Communications, BCHC Charity and HR.

About the role
You will be responsible for delivering effective OD solutions and for the development of interactive and engaging staff events and initiatives.
You will understand the importance of teamwork and you will design and develop bespoke solutions for specific service area requirements.
You will design communication and marketing strategies to keep staff informed of all that is available to them
You will create and source appropriate images and graphics to create an engaging marketing approach to support an improved response rate for our staff survey.
You will provide Divisions with feedback on their staff opinion survey and advise on possible interventions to address any highlighted areas of need.
You will be given the opportunity to develop your experience and ideas in a constantly changing and challenging environment
Knowledge of current NHS initiatives relating to Employee Engagement and Organisational Development is important and good interpersonal skills essential.

Experience Essential
Significant experience in an OD / HR / workforce development / learning and development / transformation / change role. Designing, delivering and evaluating OD or workforce development interventions to support culture and transformation change. Facilitating learning, development and discussion with groups Collaborative working with internal and external stakeholders, customers and colleagues. Leading and managing processes toto develop teams and services.
Desirable
Designing, delivering and evaluating leadership and management development programmes and activities. Delivery of organisation wide, strategic projects.
