Job summary
We are recruiting for a call handler in both the weekday professional line and the out of hours service and have various hours available for our integrated urgent care service - Severnside Urgent Care.
Call Handlers - the core purpose of our Call Handlers are to take calls from Health Care Professionals and enter patient demographics onto our patient database system for our clinical team to triage as part of a team.
Main duties of the job
To answer calls to the professional line from health care professionals. To guarantee a professional and informed response to the caller. To process external referrals into Integrated Urgent Care via professional sources other than NHS 111 e.g. ambulance service, pathology results, community teams. To ensure that such referrals are accurately entered onto the patient database system. To follow our safety calling process to ensure patient safety.

Qaulifications and Experience Essential
A good standard of education to GCSE or equivalent
Desirable
Experience of working in healthcare / NHS
Skills and Attributes Essential
Evidence of computer literacy and keyboard skills Able to work within a team and take instruction as required - Able to quickly establish rapport and credibility with others in the team
