About this role

Job summary

An excellent opportunity has become available for a motivated committed, adaptable individual with an interest in working in the Aseptic Pharmacy unit this unit prepares cancer medication.

We require a dependable, motivated, hardworking and efficient person to join our aseptic pharmacy team.

You will support the team with the cleaning of the unit, transfer of medication and consumables from the storeroom into the cleanroom, stock control and stock rotation of medicines and consumable, also administration task such as filing and answering the phone.

There is also an opportunity to complete the NVQ level 2 in pharmacy services.

You must possess good communication skills, and be flexible, committed and be a good team player.

Main duties of the job

You will be expected to participate in our weekend, bank holiday and early morning rotas.

Base Location: University Hospitals Dorset. Please note all staff being recruited are expected to be available to work flexibly across our new Trust sites when service demands require it.

Education Essential

Educated to secondary school level

Desirable

NVQ 2 Pharmacy Services or equivalent Minimum 4 GCSE's including Maths, English & Science. Grade 4 (C) or above

Experience Essential

Stock control Customer service Stock rotation filing

Desirable

Previous experience of working within health and safety and COSHH regulations

Technical Skills Essential

Accurate Ability to prioritise work Able to work using own initiative and as part of a team.

Basic keyboard skills Ability to work in a busy environment
