Job summary
We are looking to appoint one Locum Consultant Dermatologist for 10 Programmed Activities. This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious dermatology team working in a recently built modern department aiming to give the highest quality of care to the population served by Walsall Health Care NHS Trust and The Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate must possess a Primary medical degree; Full GMC Registration with a License to Practice; CCT/CCST in Dermatology; Inclusion on the GMC specialist register for Dermatology; MRCP or equivalent.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties & Key Responsibilities
To assist the current team and have responsibility for ensuring a commitment to provide a high quality of Dermatology Services to patients by continual development of practice in the light of evidence-base, and clinical standards.
To partake in Skin Cancer MDT.
To provide advice to colleagues in other specialities on Dermatology care.
To provide a comprehensive Outpatient service and surgery service
To provide clinical support and teaching to resident and speciality doctors, Medical Students and Postgraduate Medical Education.
To support and encourage audit and research.
To have responsibility for ensuring a commitment to maintaining a high quality of service to patients.
To actively participate in CPD and personal development plans.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Basic Medical Degree Full MRCP (or equivalent) Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via. 1. CCT (Proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview) 2. European Community Rights or CESR
Clinical Effectiveness & Experience Essential
Experience of conducting clinical audit Ability to use the evidence base and clinical audit to support decision-making Evidence of research experience and published work Evidence of Higher Specialist Training in Dermatology (or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of interview) A wide experience in Dermatology Ability to take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients Fully registered with the GMC with licence to practice Ability to offer expert clinical advice on range of problems
Professional & Multi-disciplinary Team Working Essential
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and within a multi-disciplinary team Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, relatives, GPs, nurses and other agencies
