An exciting opportunity has arisen within Cancer Services for a MDT Administrator/Tracker to work 37.5 hours over 5 days (Monday Friday) . Cancer Services is located within the main hospital building. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is well organised and has the ability to adapt to an ever changing environment.The post holder will provide essential administrative and coordination support to ensure patients on cancer pathways are monitored effectively and progress through their diagnostic and treatment milestones within national timeframes. The post holder plays a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, timely cancer care by maintaining accurate data, tracking patient pathways, and escalating delays appropriately.Working closely with clinical teams, MDT coordinators, managers, and diagnostic services, the Cancer Tracker is responsible for updating cancer systems, monitoring patient progress, and helping ensure that all tests, appointments, and results are arranged and recorded in line with national cancer targets.
Main duties of the job
Monitor cancer patients across all tumour sites to ensure timely progression through the pathwayUpdate relevant cancer systems e.g. InfoFlex, with accurate and up-to-date patient informationTrack diagnostic tests, appointments, and results, ensuring they are recorded promptly and correctlyIdentify delays or risks of breaches against national cancer waiting time standards and escalate appropriatelyMaintain high levels of data quality and support data validation exercises as requiredLiaise with diagnostic departments (Radiology, Endoscopy, Pathology) to follow up outstanding tests or resultsAssist in ensuring patients receive timely appointments in line with 28-Day FDS, 31- and 62-Day cancer standards

Knowledge Essential
Able to demonstrate working knowledge of a range of computer systems Able to demonstrate the ability to collate information from different places and to use the information to enable informed decisions

Qualifications Essential
Proficient in the use of Microsoft office packages Minimum of English and Maths at C/4 level or above
