We are seeking an enthusiastic and self motivated Band 5 Podiatrist to join our team in the tri borough area of Central London, providing care across Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster.
This is a 12 month fixed term opportunity to provide maternity leave cover, offering valuable experience within a diverse, supportive and community focused service where you will be encouraged to grow and develop your clinical skills.
Main duties of the job
To provide high-quality care to a diverse range of podiatry patients in a wide variety of settings. To assess diagnose, treat, plan and manage the podiatric (lower limb and foot care) needs of the local and transient populations in a wide variety of settings, in order to maintain patient mobility and independence. To work in collaboration with a team of Podiatrists and other care providers to ensure seamless care delivery for all patients and where appropriate to liaise with and refer and work under direction on Band 6. The post holder will be expected to undertake appropriate clinical rotation(s) and will be supported by supervision and mentoring sessions. The post holder will, with their manager identify their knowledge and skills and will be encouraged to work towards the skills and knowledge level of a Specialist Podiatrist

Education/Qualification Essential
BSc Degree In Podiatric Medicine or Diploma (if qualified prior 1991) Registration with the Health Professions Council Certificate in local anaesthesia

POM certificate
Experience Essential
Experience of multidisciplinary and interagency working Experience of working with a wide range of patient and disease / pathology types including the at-risk and high-risk foot

Experience of clinical supervision / mentoring Experience of service development
Other Essential
Effective oral, listening and written communication in order to negotiate and persuade patients and carers gaining compliance and commitment to their treatment and care plans
