About this role

Job summary

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as our Dispensary Stock Control Supervisor.

This position would suit someone with a keen eye for detail, an interest in Stock Control processes and someone who is able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including other healthcare professionals, pharmacy teams and members of the public. You will be a good team player, enthusiastic and proactive with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the the stock of medications in the Dispensary at the Royal Derby Hospital, ensuring compliance with necessary regulations at all times.

The post holder will be responsible for providing an accurate, timely and efficient pharmacy dispensing service for staff and patients.

Please note that in order to be shortlisted you must possess (or be working towards) a Level 2 pharmacy qualification that is recognised by the GPhC. Candidates who do not hold a suitable qualification will not be shortlisted.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

GCSE grade 4 or equivalent in Maths and English or proven equivalent level of experience and knowledge within the same or similar role GPhC approved Level 2 qualification in Pharmacy Services or currently working towards the qualification

Planning and Organisational Skills Essential

Excellent organisational skills Ability to work towards deadlines and time management under supervision Works autonomously as the situation requires

Communication Essential

Able to communicate clearly verbally and electronically with the Pharmacy team and service users Demonstrate that they are approachable and a team player

Experience Essential

Proven experience of working in a customer facing role, ideally within an NHS setting Ability to use automated / electronic systems Knowledge of stock control systems Prioritises workload Proven good basic computer skills

Desirable

Demonstrates a problem solving approach, i.e. discrepancies in stock levels
