Job summary The Haematology Department has a vacancy for two part time Administrators based at Hemel General Hospital . Experienced and committed, you will provide an efficient and comprehensive administrative service to the Consultants (including locum doctors), Junior Doctor's, Clinical Nurse Specialist and multi-disciplinary teams. The post covers bookings and co-ordination of Haematology New appointments and general admin duties. The successful applicant will need to have a good general level of education, and possess the essential qualifications outlined in the attached Person Specification. This role is based at Hemel General Hospital . The successful candidates will act as a central point for the managing and scheduling of Haematology New appointments and general admin duties.

To communicate highly sensitive information to patients / consultants. To ensure and maintain the efficient and effective administration for Haematology appointments and general clinic Cancelling and amending clinic lists following instruction from the Clinicians, Clinical Nurse Specialist and managers General admin duties Working alongside the bookings administrator
Person Specification
Education and qualifications Essential
Good level of education (e.g GCSE Level or equivalent). Previous experience in similar role.
Knowledge Essential
Computer literate Experience of Microsoft Office (to include Word, Excel and Outlook) Knowledge of NHS guidelines and systems Good understanding of the administrative functioning of the office Knowledge of national cancer targets. Knowledge of Cerner. Demonstrable knowledge of full range of administrative and organisational policies and procedures associated with this role
Desirable
Knowledge of speciality. Knowledge of managing referral systems such as; ERS
