Job summary
We are looking for an experienced administrator to join us at Cleckheaton Group Practice. The successful candidate should ideally have SystmOne experience and have worked in a GP practice for a minimum of one year. You will answer the telephone and liaise with patients mainly over the phone. The main role of the position is to deal with all of the administrative duties associated with General Practice, including prescriptions, scanning, QOF, GP rotas, and reception work. The hours are quite specific in order to cover the site for all of the hours we are open. If you have worked in general practice or primary care before that would be useful but it is not essential all of the training will be given.
Main duties of the job
The following are the core responsibilities of the Administrator and Office Clerk. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will depend on factors such as workload and staffing levels as directed by the Practice Manager:
Carry out administrative duties associated with working in a busy office environment.To use the telephone to call patients and take inbound calls from patients in the admin office and reception.Book, change and cancel appointments for patients in line with current arrangements.SystmOne Reporting and Searches
Deal with things, like prescription requests, Clinical Rotas, QOF, Recalls, Patient Registrations, Patient Signposting and carrying out duties as requested by the Practice Manager and Partners.Always maintain a clean, tidy effective working areaSupport all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requestedTo work with other team members and support the practice operationally. This may included things like scanning, coding, referrals and general office duties.The hours for this role are very specific in order to cover the surgery for the hours we are open:
The post is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
