QualificationsIn addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience/minimum qualification equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band (DP-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer or scientist. Specialized experience includes duties related to some or all of the following: Demonstrating technical leadership in system-level design, integration, and full lifecycle management; Utilizing software-based tools or analytical models (e.g., Python, MATLAB) to automate engineering workflows, process test data, and evaluate complex system performance requirements; Working varied complex equipment systems and subsystems associated with research, innovation, or reengineering assignments; AND Developing or testing new equipment or material that significantly adds to the operability and usefulness of existing or new equipment/systems having new features. Major DutiesYou will advise on system-level design and integration activities, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with mission objectivesYou will define and manage system performance requirements and develop software-based tools, scripts, and analytical models (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or similar) to evaluate system behavior, process test data, and identify performance gaps.You will apply coding skills to automate workflows, analyze large datasets, and improve efficiency in test, integration, and evaluation activities.You will formulate approaches using knowledge or related projects to resolve a variety of nonrecurring technological problems.
