Job SummaryYou will serve as a DATA MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (AIRCRAFT) in the MRO-L of FLTREADCEN EAST.
QualificationsFOR THE GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Demonstrates technical experience and knowledge of various manuals, instructions and certifications to manage the technical publication requirements of an industrial aircraft maintenance facility. 2.) Recent and applicable Technical Document Library experience is preferred as compared to equivalent experience in other disciplines. 3.) Knowledge of aircraft terminology, aircraft component parts, technical references and specifications is required to convey technical information effectively. 4.) Demonstrates experience with ability to determine availability and applicability of complex technical data as well as understand complex technical data specifications and standards to assure quality customer service operations. 5.) Proven experience, knowledge, skills and abilities communicating information across the NAVAIR organization. 6.) Knowledge of Microsoft and adobe applications and electronic files management to create/manage directories of digital files on servers and personal workstations. 7.) Ability to walk on varied surfaces (including up and down stairs), sometimes carrying materials; bending (to pick up) and carrying light loads (reams of paper independently, or roll of weighing up to 40 pounds with assistance); stooping, or climbing in order to access equipment compartments to load or change supplies, work in conditions that might include exposure, to outside temperatures, head, cold, rain, snow and to industrial hazardous environments, requiring appropriate safety precautions and may require night and weekend work. Major DutiesYou will manage the procurement, issuance, control and audit of technical publications utilized throughout the production and support operations of Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE).You will research maintenance requirements, assists production in establishing data requirements, and coordinate acquisition and distribution of paper and electronic technical data in support of FRCE's local and dispersed production efforts.You will manage the work output, monitor and report the status and progress concerning the Portable Electronic Maintenance Aides (PEMAs) that are used within FRCE and our two-offsite locations; New River, NC and Beaufort, SC.You will ensure required instructions, priorities, methods, and timelines are met, and to perform the duties of a Data Management Specialist to ensure configuration management is upheld and time lines for sensitive critical data are achieved.You will implement the F/A-18, V-22, H-1, H-60 and H-53 series aircraft Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals incorporation of Electronic Rapid Action Change using the PEMAs laptops.You will ensure quarterly Service Packs are uploaded to all PEMAs by using hard drive master cloning process, working hand-in-hand with specified Information Technology Specialist.
