About this role
The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for building on a very high level of product line & operational knowledge and experience to proactively and strategically sell specific tools, technologies and services within Completions. In alignment with the agreed sales plan, you will ensure a high level of product line & operational knowledge is provided to the client normally at the customers’ location; rig site, warehouse or workshop. Where the opportunity arises, you should proactively support the development of cross-selling across the different Product Lines. Responsibilities:
• Responsible for fibre optic monitoring and gas lift sub-PL businesses in the Kingdom.
• Responsible for all sales and business development customer facing activities including reporting daily, weekly and monthly interactions – internally to Weatherford management and externally to the customer.
• Responsible to assist the TSM with budgeting, forecasting, and delivering revenue for the subject sub-PLs on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Responsible for growth and market penetration across different strategic accounts & clients in the Geozone.
• Expected to deliver technical presentations externally to various accounts as necessary.
• Expected to deliver business related financial and commercial presentations internally to various stakeholders including sales manager, global and local PL leaders as necessary.
• Development and growth of PL market share by targeting key departments and decision makers.
• Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
• Expedite the resolution of customer problems and NPTs to minimize impact or loss of time.
• Analyse the market’s potential, track sales and provide periodic status reports.
• Responsible for tracking all sales and BD efforts via corporate CRM software, Salesforce.
• Coordinate with sales manager on a weekly basis to ensure accurate budget tracking and forecasting of upcoming fibre optic and gas lift activities.
• Coordinate with global PL and contribute to the preparation and compilation of technical & commercial content relating to pre-qualifications, quotations, and tenders for timely submissions.
• Ensuring collaboration between sales, applications and operations team for 100% service delivery and flawless job execution. Coordinating with the operations team to ensure inventory levels are optimum and rotated on a monthly and quarterly basis per the budget and quarterly forecast.
• Ownership of the Sales life cycle process, start to finish, stepping up to deliver on your responsibilities, is ultimately your accountability. • Responsible for responding to the Client Engagement Plans. • Proposes solutions to customers formally (through pitches, presentations, bids & tender submissions) and informally through networks, relationships, discussions • Responsible for relaying competitive information back to the appropriate PL stakeholders, inc: pricing, product performance, marketing material, activities, new products/technology etc. • Responsible for developing specific client application value propositions • Responsible for the generation of annual revenue targets through the creation and conversion of sales plans including growth strategies • Take relevant actions to identify and address revenue ‘gaps’ for the year to ensure target achievement • Assists Technical Sales Manager with formulation sales strategies and annual budget Required:
• Minimum 4 years technical or operational experience within the Oil & Gas Industry – preferably in fibre optic monitoring systems and/or gas lift completions. • 6+ years of sales experience • Good communication skills both written and verbal. • Good understanding fibre optic monitoring and/or gas lift applications and market – added benefit if intelligent wells also included in experience. • Essential to have strong communication skills, along with the ability to work in a team environment, or unsupervised. • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales • Must be comfortable facing customer in varying situations including delivering presentations or engaging in conversations related to business / operations, if required. • Must be flexible and adaptable to business change and varying workloads • Prioritizing time management and organizational skills • Computer literate in Word, Excel, Ms PowerPoint Preferred:
• Hands-on experience in fibre optic systems (including DTS/DAS / gas lift completions.
• Experience in working with middle eastern clients.
• Previous exposure in marketing and sale of fibre optic data analysis.
• Knowledge about surface instrumentation related to RMS.
• BD experience in Intelligent Wells or Smart Well Completions.
