NOV Artificial Lift is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team in Tulsa, OK. The position includes assembling and testing ESP equipment and components, with a focus on building gas separators. Candidates do not need prior experience but should have strong mechanical aptitude; up to two years of assembly and testing experience will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities
• Assemble ESP equipment and subassemblies, following engineering drawings and specifications. • Perform testing and inspection of assembled equipment to verify quality and performance. • Operate overhead cranes and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. • Maintain compliance with and actively support the facility’s 6S Program (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety). • Operate hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards. • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, diagrams, and engineering drawings. • Experience in mechanical assembly and testing of ESP equipment (preferred: up to two years). • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly. • Ability to work on your feet/stand for extended periods. • Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and reach as required for assembly tasks. • Work performed in a manufacturing environment around moving equipment, tools, and machinery. • Adherence to all required personal protective equipment (PPE) standards.
