About this role
The 1D Bonder works under the guidance of a foreman or supervisor. The role involves assembling components, operating approved hand machinery, interpreting 1D drawings, and maintaining product quality, safety and a clean work environment to meet daily production targets.
Job Description:
• Follow work orders and instructions from the foreman or supervisor • Assemble components using hand tools, approved machinery and 1D bonder equipment • Interpret 1D technical drawings to ensure correct part placement • Meet daily production targets and adhere to the production schedule • Inspect assembled parts for compliance with quality standards • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area, supporting 5S initiatives • Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards or quality issues promptly • Record production data and log any deviations accurately • Wear required PPE and follow all company safety policies • Assist teammates with tasks to ensure smooth workflow
Job Requirement:
• Minimum SPM or equivalent secondary education • Bonder/Laminator certificate is an added advantage. • Basic mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools • Basic understanding of bonding and lamination processes. • Ability to read and interpret simple 1D technical drawings • Good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity • Physically fit and able to work in production environment. • Commitment to safety, quality and housekeeping standards • Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment • Reliable attendance and punctuality • Basic literacy and numeracy skills • Willingness to learn and develop assembly skills • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
