About this role
Plans and implements an Extended School Year program that includes instruction in communication, life, and social skills; works at Kilmer Center with students aged 5-22 with intellectual disability, cognitive impairment, and/or autism, some of which exhibit significantly challenging behaviors; provides instructional adaptations and personal assistance with activities and tasks; utilizes best practices in teaching to achieve student?s IEP goals; manages student behavior; follows pre-designed lessons, activities, and maintains appropriate pacing; orders, receives, and distributes supplies; participates in Summer Collaborative Team meetings; collaborates with administrators, central office staff, teachers, and paraprofessionals; assists with routine care, including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting; maintains accurate and complete records as required by law, regulation, and policy.
