A Business Intelligence (BI) Developer transforms raw, complex data into actionable insights by designing, developing, and maintaining data systems, models, and visual dashboards. They bridge the gap between IT and business teams, using SQL, ETL processes, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to enable data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities and Tasks Data Visualization & Dashboards: Creating interactive, user-friendly reports and dashboards that help stakeholders visualize performance metrics. Data Warehouse Management: Designing and implementing data models and data warehouses, often using SQL and ETL (extract, transform, load) techniques to ensure data is properly structured . Technical Troubleshooting: Monitoring existing BI systems, repairing or optimizing code, and resolving data quality issues. System Development: Building and maintaining BI tools that enable non-technical users to access and analyze data easily. Business Collaboration: Translating user requirements into technical specifications for data analysis. Common Skills and Tools Technical Tools: Power BI, Tableau, SQL Server, Oracle, SAP, SAS.
