Salary Range: Grade D - Between FTE £24,891 - £26,930 / Actual £19,063 - £20,625 + SEN Allowance

Location: High Point Academy, Friar Park Rd, Wednesbury, WS10 0JS

Contract: Full time, Permanent, Term-Time Only

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Teaching Assistant Level 2to join Highpoint Academy.

The High Point Academy opened in September 2021, and we aim for all our pupils to be "ACE" we have ambitious aspirations for all our learners, we wish to challenge the impossible and encourage independence for all.

We educate up to 112 pupils aged 11-16 years with autism and moderate learning difficulties. High Point is part of Forward Education Trust.

Teaching Assistants are responsible for supporting and leading small groups and individuals with Maths, English, Reading, SEMH, vocational and practical activities, supporting pupils to develop resilience, social skills and self-esteem, and deploying effective strategies for supporting pupils with a range of behavioural needs.

The successful candidate will be:

Compassionate and patient

Have strong communication and interpersonal skills

Have empathy and understanding of diverse needs

Be eager to learn and grow in an inclusive educational setting

Be dedicated to fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment

Have an NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications or experience
