About this role

Job summary

The post holder will provide comprehensive, quality, confidential administrative support to the Paediatrics Teams within CCICP. The Operational Service Assistant will be expected to organise their own workload and co-ordinate their activities in conjunction with, and supervised by the Team Leader, to ensure that an efficient service is provided. The post holder will be capable of the full administrative function within the team, and be able to step in to fill gaps, to ensure continuity of services. It is essential that the post holder is able to exercise initiative suitable to the role, and is fully supportive of other colleagues within the team.

We have an opportunity to join our CCICP Paediatrics team, where you will help to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Paediatric Services within CCICP, including managing calls, referrals, and supporting the clinical staff to respond to the health needs of the caseload.

We are looking for candidates that are strong communicators, and have proficient skills in call handling, computer skills, and the ability to work well both in a team and independently. You will be liaising closely with parents and carers as well as clinicians, and colleagues who are part of the wider MDT.

You will be well supported by both our paediatrics admin team, and also the wider CCICP admin teams to help with both personal and professional development.

The role will be varied in regards to day to day tasks, and will involve a mixture of admin-related activities, as well as some potential PA support to the Community Operational Manager.

Qualifications Essential

5 GCSE level A-C qualifications or equivalent in English and Math's or equivalent experience. Proficient in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Computer skills, ECDL or equivalent, Microsoft Office

Desirable

Previous experience within the NHS Knowledge of Medical Terminology

Previous administrative experience Awareness of the need for confidentiality in accordance with Data Protection Act and national/local guidelines
