Job summary
To assist the shop worker in processing sales for staff and service users in the internal residents shop. To keep the shop well stocked and clean and tidy.
Main duties of the job
You will support the OT Shop Assistant Role to operationally deliver the residents shop by:
Undertaking counter duties
Using the till to record sales (till training will be offered)
Rotate stock and filling shelves
Identify and ordering stock
Managing till floats and sales cash
Working alongside clinicians supporting service users in a worker role
Communication
To talk to service users in the line of your duties, who often exhibit challenging behaviour and communicate with them in a way that respects their views, aspirations, autonomy and culture.
To demonstrate respect to professional colleagues.
To develop therapeutic relationships with service users in the worker role under supervision.
To provide advice and support to customers using the residents shop
To explain and promote the role of OT and the service; contribute to raising the profile of the service.
To build relationship with stock providers

At all times to conduct self in a professional manner
