About this role

Job summary

The Radiology Directorate within ABUHB are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join their Administrative and clerical team. Two posts, 37.5 hours and 22.5 hours.

The successful candidates of this exciting post will be an integral member of the Radiology Booking Service and is based at Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny. Working as part of a dedicated team of Booking staff, Radiologists, Radiographers and nurses, they will be responsible for the day-to-day booking and maintenance of outpatient appointments for Radiology across the Health Board. The post holder will ensure service users have a positive and professional experience at all times.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

The duties of this new post includes,

Ensuring all patients appointments are processed in accordance with the internal and national targets. Inbound call centre workflow Working with Supt Songraphers and Team leader making sure that clinic capacity is utilised so cancellations are kept to a minimum All procedure appointments are booked in a timely fashion utilising list capacity across Radiology in ABUHB. Liaising with other team members to ensure that waiting times are kept to a minimum, working with the radiology referral and booking manager and booking service team Ensure a professional and friendly telephone manner is maintained

Qualifications Essential

GCSE or equivalent/ Good level of education, Welsh language speaker

Experience of patient focused/partial booking and Radiology
