Job summary
We are looking for a PBS Practitioner to lead the implementation and delivery of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) across the service. You will work closely with individuals, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams to promote positive, proactive approaches that enhance wellbeing and quality of life while reducing restrictive practices.
Main duties of the job
The role involves conducting behavioural assessments, developing and reviewing PBS interventions, providing specialist guidance and training, and supporting teams to deliver person-centred care. You will be supported and managed by the Head of Psychology.

Job description Job responsibilities
Llanarth Court is looking to recruit a PBS Practitioner to join the team. We are a secure 95 bedded forensic service for male and females, 18+. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours.
We also have an additional facility within the grounds of the hospital, offering opportunities for individuals who require bespoke packages of care, as part of our bespoke therapeutic placement (BTP) offering. We are a sector-leading example of how providing a wide variety of care settings and a clear care pathway in the direction of recovery, can benefit all individuals.
Person Specification
Requirements Essential
Formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) or a related field, such as Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Applied Behaviour Analysis, or Autism Studies. Experience conducting behavioural assessments and developing, implementing, and reviewing PBS interventions. Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism. Knowledge of the Mental Health Act (1983), safeguarding, and risk management. Experience delivering PBS training and promoting the reduction of restrictive practices. Strong communication, leadership, report-writing, and record-keeping skills. Ability to work effectively in physically and emotionally demanding environments. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
