About this role

Job summary

This is an opportunity to work within the busy NHSBT Pay Support Department. We are looking to recruit a Pay Support Officer, who has a passion for helping us provide an excellent customer experience to our clients.

You'll need to demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment and enthusiasm to contributing to service improvement and development. You'll have knowledge of the ESR system and NHS terms and conditions whilst working under pressure and adhering to strict deadlines.

NHSBT Pay Support pays over 6,500 staff each month and the Pay Support Officer role includes maintaining employee records, setting up payments and deductions. Expenses management. Query and overpayment handling.

Main duties of the job

Maintenance of the employee master file records in ESR including personal and pay data, ensuring that all master file data is up to date in accordance with operational requirements.Provision of operational and user support for our systems to enable accurate and timely payment of expenses, and attendance data.Co-ordinating systems data to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and deadlines.Manage own workload in an effective and timely manner.Complete complex calculations, resolve enquiries, and provide information or advice when required

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

GCSE (or equivalent) passes in English Language and Mathematics. Demonstrates commitment to own continuous learning and development

Experience Essential

Knowledge of DWP, PAYE and benefit in kind processes, procedures and regulations Knowledge of NHS Terms and Conditions 2018, Medical and Dental terms and conditions (or successor bodies) Demonstrate a proactive approach to customer care
