As a Donor Performance and Planning Administrator, you'll play a vital role in helping NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) maintain the right blood supply for patients across the UK. Working as part of a supportive team, you'll provide clear, accurate information to donors and colleagues, helping to plan and manage appointments effectively.

From handling enquiries to coordinating cancellations and supporting critical stock levels, your work will directly contribute to saving and improving lives. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment where attention to detail, empathy, and strong communication skills are key. You'll have the opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow in a role where every task you complete helps keep the lifeblood of NHSBT moving.

Main duties of the job

Your responsibilities will include:

Communicate clearly with donors and colleagues via SMS, phone or email while maintaining confidentiality.Provide accurate advice and respond to enquiries in a professional and empathetic way.Manage short-term cancellations, selecting appropriate donors based on blood group priorities.Maintain accurate records of cancellations and produce clear handover reports.Liaise daily with operational teams to gather data and ensure accurate planning decisions.Support planning activities including venue changes and appointment management.Assist with reporting trends, risks, and performance data, escalating where appropriate.Provide administrative support to the wider Donor Performance & Planning team.Ensure all work is completed accurately, following SOPs, quality standards, and health and safety policies.

This post is full time, working 37.5 hours per week on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
