About this role

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be responsible for the supervision and organisation of all aspects of production, distribution and service of meals to staff, visitors and patients in the restaurant, functions and hospitality through-out the site and any associated duties.

You will need to analyse till data (Epos) to effectively plan and adjust menus in relation to service requirements, customer trends and needs.

Main duties of the job

To ensure compliance within Food Safety Regulations, HACCP and Trust Hygiene Policies, keeping records in accordance with and adapting to the any new regulations, ensuring new staff lower bands follow said policies and practices. To be responsible for the production and day to day maintenance of the weekly rota's, allocation of overtime and the correct use of agency/bank staff to ensure adequate staffing levels are always maintained within budgetary limits and respond to rota pressures. Ensure the correct completion, authorisation of time sheets, allocating & recording of annual leave & Bank Holidays. Assist and support in the Recruitment & selection of new staff, ensuring the discipline, training and welfare of staff including staff appraisals and return to work interviews.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Level 3 Food Safety Level 3 Allergen Safety Level 2 function skills in maths and english

Desirable

City & Guilds 706/1 706/2 or NVQ Level 3 equivalent

Knowledge Essential

Knowledge of HACCP system and relevant documentation Knowledge for Allergen's and Natasha's Law Knowledge of Cleaning Schedules

Desirable

Knowledge of rotering systems

Experience Essential

Experience within a large production Kitchen Experience of managing a team and training

Skills Essential

Demonstrate good communication skills Good use of IT skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher
