Job summary
We are looking to appoint to a full-time (10 PA) Consultant Dermatologist with Interest in Patch Testing to the Dermatology department at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
We would welcome applications from candidates across the full spectrum of experience, from those who have recently completed training to those who have well-established careers.

Main duties of the job
o This post will be based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital and includes an on-call commitment. The working practices will be subject to the needs of the Dermatology department.o Provide weekly outpatient clinics for patch testing and general dermatology.o Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.o To have a continuing clinical responsibility for patients admitted under your care and for any managerial/administrative arrangements necessary for their continuing care. To this end, the appointee(s) will contribute to the regular meetings of the dermatology department.o The post holder will be allocated 1.5 SPA per week around clinical shifts for the first year. For subsequent years, SPA allocations will be agreed as part of the job planning process in line with trust protocol.o An annual review of duties will take place with the Clinical Lead as part of the Job Planning process.o To participate in the Trust's annual appraisal process.o The allocation of time between the various duties of the post will be open to some adjustment in consultation with consultant colleagues and the employing Trust.o The successful candidate will work according to the terms and conditions of the national consultant contract.

Ability to work as an independent practitioner in the Adult and Paediatric Dermatology. Possess broad clinical experience in the outpatient and inpatient Adult and Paediatric Dermatology. Undertaken Contact Irritant & Allergic Dermatitis and Patch Testing training in a tertiary centre and has experience additional to standard CCT requirements.
Qualifications Essential
Full Registration with the GMC with a licence to practise. Name on the specialist register for relevant specialty or eligible within 6 months of the date of the interview. If an applicant is UK trained, they must also be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview. Postgraduate professional qualifications as appropriate to post. MRCP or Equivalent.
