Job Summary: The Principal IT Data Scientist leads the design and delivery of data‑driven solutions by leveraging large datasets, advanced analytics and reporting, and machine learning. The role works closely with business stakeholders to understand challenges and objectives, framing analytical approaches that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that support decision‑making. Job Responsibilities: Engage with internal clients to understand business needs, refine requirements, and translate them into clear analytic deliverables. Work with employees throughout the company to assist them in the design, creation, publishing, update and maintenance of business intelligence reports (e.g. in Power BI or Tableau) or other data analysis tools. Assistance to client may cover data Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL), data model creation, calculations (e.g. Power BI DAX), report creation, and publishing Design and implement advanced statistical, machine learning, and AI‑enabled models that address complex business problems. Communicate technical findings in clear, actionable terms suited to non technical audiences. Guide data wrangling, feature engineering, and data enrichment efforts to improve model performance. Lead junior data scientists and analysts, promoting best practices in modeling, testing, and deployment. Assist as needed with governance of data, analytics, automation and AI.
