Job summary
As a band 6, you would play a clinical role whereby the post holder will be responsible for the provision of quality patient care on Galen Unit working in the vein's procedure day care unit, Line service, Nurse led wound clinics and pre assessment.
Main duties of the job
- To be a clinical expert in vascular day case procedures and wound management.
- As an experienced, knowledgeable and educated member of the team you will be expected to work with the team in delivering a high quality, safe and effective vascular line service. Training will be provided
- Within the department you will be required to support other services such as recovery and vascular pre assessment.
- To promote and ensure continued development of the service in line with the trust, local and national initiatives.
- To effectively manage and lead the nursing and work proactivity with the multidisciplinary team in conjunction with the senior Vascular nurse specialist.
- To provide support for the patient pathway and ensure patients receive high quality seamless care.
- The role includes supervising and supporting junior registered and unregistered Staff, promoting professional development and clinical excellence.
