Manufacturing Engineer Senior

Job Description: You will be the Manufacturing Engineer Senior for the circuit card assembly and electromechanical assembly manufacturing team. Our team is responsible for providing technical guidance and support to manufacturing operators, developing and implementing automated and manual manufacturing processes, and utilizing lean manufacturing techniques to reduce costs and improve production yields.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Manufacturing Engineer Senior you will be responsible for delivering engineering solutions that enhance assembly efficiency and product quality.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Providing technical guidance on various assembly processes and equipment and support to manufacturing operators Developing, implementing, and documenting manufacturing processes for electronic and electromechanical assemblies Utilizing lean manufacturing techniques to reduce costs and improve production yields through automation, tooling improvements, process redesign, etc. Defining operations procedures, production standards, and build sequences to drive operational excellence Developing statistical process control approaches and integrating reporting and data analytics solutions

This position requires the ability to support up to 10% of overtime annually as required to support program needs. This position may also require periodic weekend support.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline Must be a U.S citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field or Master's Degree. Position requires the ability to support up to 10% of overtime annually as required to support program needs.

Desired skills: Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and techniques Experience with manufacturing ERP systems Experience with automation/robotics in manufacturing environments Knowledge of Military specifications and standards Knowledge of industry standards such as IPC.620 and J-STD-001

Work Schedule Information: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement: Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement: Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $93,800 - $162,610. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
