This role is essentially housekeeping, to support the team in a busy Medical ward byundertaking a range of activities which contribute to the maintenance of a safe and clean environment,iThe housekeeper will work directly under the supervision of the nurse in charge
Main duties of the job

To ensure the safe storage of equipment andmaintenance of unit stock level
To prepare and serve hot/cold drinks as required for the patients
Clerical duties are expected
Assist with unit audits.

Maintenance of clinical environment and control ofinfection control issues.Ensure a clean, safe, tidy and comfortable clinicalenvironment including maintenance of the clinical environment, control of infection and reporting of malfunctioning equipment .Maintaining unit stock levels and ensuring that stock levels are set to ensure availability of all required stock but not an over stock of any items.. Some clerical duties may be required.Providing drinks round to patients during the day unless otherwise specified.

Qualifications & Education Essential
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
Desirable
GCSE Maths & English Grade C or above OR level 2 Numeracy skills and level 2 Literacy skills
Knowledge & Experience Essential
Previous experience of working with the public Aware of the concept and application of confidentiality

Previous experience of working with patients in a healthcare setting
