Job summary
Job purpose
The job holder is responsible for providing an efficient, welcoming reception and administrative service for the Trust's Outpatient areas. The role includes reception duties relating to patient verification, recording the patient on the Trust's Patient Administration System, booking patient appointments and dealing with external telephone enquiries from patients, GPs, and other associated hospitals and internal stakeholders.
The post holder will be expected to work in Trauma & Orthopaedics Outpatient, known as Fracture Clinic in East Surrey Hospital. Although the post is only 16 hours, working hours can be negotiable and there could be some availability of extra bank/overtime to cover, so as to facilitate the need of the department. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are extremely important days that will need to be covered.
The post holder will have to work alongside with Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, Orthopaedic Practitioners, Orthopaedic Technicians, Trauma Coordinators, Registrars and Consultants that conduct their clinic in the department.
