About this role
Job summary
To provide a comprehensive and responsive multi-skilled maintenance service across all the Trust's properties, whilst specialising and leading in the delivery of quality electrical services. Sites include in-patient and non-inpatient environments. The postholder shall be expected to lead complex electricaldiagnoses and repairs across the Trust's plant and equipment, and advise the Trust on any issues or risks with this equipment.
Main duties of the job
Whilst the postholder shall be fully qualified in electrical services, they will also be competent in all elements of delivering a multi-skilled service, includingminor joinery and plumbing services, and support the delivery of a quality estates function.
The postholder, as expert for electrical services, shall supportnew apprentices and T-level students as they join the services with on-the-job training, guidance and shadowing

Job description Job responsibilities
The postholder shall be predominantly based within the South of the Trusts footprint, but still expected to work across all sites as needed to meet service requirements. The postholder must also participate in the estates on call service as part of their duties.

Education / Qualifications Essential
Recognised time-served apprenticeship, or City & Guilds or BTEC (ONC) or equivalent in joinery, plumbing, electrical, engineering or similar Multi-skilled qualification or validated in-house assessment of multi-skilled status Short courses relevant to estates services for continuous professional development

First aid certificate Fire safety-related training qualifications
Experience Essential
Demonstrable post-qualification experience in building services, specific to the area of expertise, i.e. joinery, electrical or plumbing Experience as trade lead, i.e. plumbing, joinery or electrical, providing support and guidance to wider staff Experience providing project expertise towards trade requirements. Experience delivering a multi-skilled service. Experience delivering reactive works alongside planned worked.

Experience of working in a hospital environment Experience working in a mental health in-patient facility Experience delivering services in-line with HTM requirements.
