Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing guidance to stakeholders on healthcare delivery processes; analyzing policy to make recommendations; and implementing changes to improve healthcare delivery. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Major DutiesServes as the Business Operations Specialist (BOS) to the assigned area of responsibility (AOR) consisting of multi-service MTFs, Guard and Reserve units, MCSC for the MHS network and remote enrolled and select beneficiaries.Performs, reviews, special analyses, studies, and evaluations of the operational requirements necessary for the integrated direct and private sector care delivery of health care.Actively participates in MCSC market operational meetings and provides policy interpretation and guidance.Assists in the identification, analysis, evaluation and monitoring of Business Plan improvement opportunities under the MHS programs.Provides guidance and advises on matters related to the implementation and operational oversight.
