Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic business decisions through timely reporting and insightful financial analysis

Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Lead the month-end and year end close process (including close of sub-ledgers, inventory, accruals, prepayments, lease schedules) in accordance with reporting deadlinesMaintain integrity of the general ledger and oversee balance sheet reconciliationsSupport preparation of tax filings including income tax returns, payroll tax, BAS and FBT returnsPrepare quarterly intercompany reconciliationsEnsure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory obligations, and internal policiesCoordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodiesFinancial Analysis and Business Support:
Deliver detailed financial analysis and variance reporting to support management decision-makingAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes as requiredProvide insights into financial performance, risks, and opportunities for improvementProcess Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting efficienciesContribute to system enhancements and finance transformation initiativesAssist in implementing and monitoring internal controls in accordance with the group’s policies and local statutory requirements.Develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures that reflect best practice.In return, we offer:

That’s enough about us! Here’s what we hope to see from you:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related disciplineCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualificationMinimum 5 years’ experience in financial accounting or a similar senior finance roleStrong technical knowledge of IFRS/AASB accounting standards and financial reporting requirementsExperience working with SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilitiesDemonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlinesPrior experience within a medium-to-large corporate environment preferredDemonstrated organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasksDemonstrated ability to work independently and as part of the team in a busy environmentExperience working within complex or fast-paced business environments preferredStrong understanding of financial reporting principles and commercial driversExceptional interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationshipsAt ASICS, we work together as one team to bring a performance mindset to life every day - Are you ready to pursue your career goals?
