Essential Qualifications
Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (or equivalent) Relevant safeguarding and paediatric first aid training (or willingness to undertake)
Desirable Qualifications
Level 4 or higher qualification in Early Years Leadership or mentoring training
Essential Experience
Significant experience working within an EYFS/nursery setting Experience of supporting children’s learning through play‑based approaches Experience of working as a key person Experience of supporting or leading other staff
Skills and Knowledge
Secure knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development Strong behaviour management and inclusive practice skills Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team Strong communication skills with children, staff, and families Ability to observe, assess, and plan for children’s next steps
