Surlingham and Rockland Primary Schools are two small and friendly primary schools situated just five miles south of Norwich close to the River Yare. The schools pride themselves in knowing all the children well and making sure that each child is happy in their work and challenged to learn to their full potential. As a result, the atmosphere in school is relaxed and positive, and contributes to the high level of attainment and standards of behaviour at both schools.
We have a fantastic, friendly staff team and we are passionate about providing a world class education within our beautiful small school setting and endeavour to create a range of enrichment activities for all subjects, including a broad range of trips and visits. THE POST
We are looking for a pro-active and diligent Office Manager to join the team at Surlingham Primary School for a Maternity Cover. The successful candidate will also be required to help with finance, school visits and marketing of the Pre-School at Rockland St Mary Primary School. Working pattern: Monday – Friday 8:30 – 17:00.
The Office Manager will be responsible for the daily operation of the reception area at Surlingham Primary School, communicating with staff, parents and students on a range of issues, as well as providing general administrative support to the school and headteacher.
Although the role will be based predominantly at Surlingham, there may be times when the Office Manager will need to visit the partner school at Rockland St Mary.
The successful candidates will:
Have GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and Mathematics. Be committed to the school’s high standards of teaching, learning and professional development. Have excellent communication skills, a warm and caring personality, and a good sense of humour. Have a welcoming and friendly approach with a high level of professionalism.
