Job summary
The Recovery Nurse role offers clinical skills and knowledge to be able to support clients through there recovery journey, be that in a clinical aspect or holistic. The purpose of this role is to offer high standards of care for our clients, whilst being part of service development and innovation, to continually improve our service offer.
Main duties of the job
Dispensing of controlled and non-controlled drugs to meet the clients physical support needs.
Clinical and Psychosocial assessments to help create a person-centered integrated care plan.
Health promotions work for areas such as Sleep management, BBV, Wellbeing, Detox promotion and plan setting as well as new initiates and monthly topics.
Delivery of KPIs in line with contract agreement to help evidence our service delivery.
Delivery of awareness sessions linked to substance misuse.
Joint multidisciplinary collaboration with all stakeholders such as Healthcare, offender management team, safer custody, Community CDTs and CPNs etc.
Caseload of complex and non-complex clients.
Supporting colleagues and managers with new initiatives and service offers, and any reasonable requested Activity.
Care planning of a clients recovery journey which is person centered and puts the client at the focus of all decision making.
Supervision of support workers.

The Recovery Nurse role offers clinical skills and knowledge to be able to support clients through there recovery journey, be that in a clinical aspect or holistic. The purpose of this role is to offer high standards of care for our clients, whilst being part of service development and innovation, to continually improve our service offer.
The Recovery Nurse role is a hands on role that provides operational clinical and Psychosocial support and advice in alignment with the Clients care plan and the service client pathway. The success of all roles within the Prison teams contributes to the overall success of the clients journey. so, it is important to ensure we have a focus on our organisational objectives, as well as local service action plans. Delphi recognises that people, through their skills, knowledge, experience, values, and behaviours are integral to good Service performance and development. The Recovery Nurses role through their professional skills and expertise will support the Prison substance misuse team, to maximise performance, and in turn positively contribute to service development, and ultimately the clients experience and outcomes.
Person Specification
Knowledge and skills Essential
Have the skills required to act as a professional, registered nurse and adhere to the NMC Code of Conduct. Resilience and adaptability in a changeable and demanding environment. Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Good situational judgement Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Evidence of updating practice and continued professional development. Demonstrate knowledge of principles of clinical governance.
Qualifications Essential
Registered Nurse on the NMC.
Experience Essential
Experience of working in a team with appropriate supervision in a multidisciplinary service.
