We have an opportunity to join one of London's Leading NHS providers of FCP Physiotherapy. We offer the opportunity and support to develop as an FCP while continuing to grow as a departmental Physiotherapist within an NHS MSK Physiotherapy team.
We are an innovative team with a strong track record of staff development & great support, led by an established team of band 8a FCP's & Extended Scope Physiotherapists/APP's.
The role combines the best of both worlds, where you will form a key part of a primary care network & working as a Physiotherapist providing with rehabilitation within Homerton's Locomotor service
You will be supported to complete your level 7 competencies with:
Regular senior MSK teaching & support to complete road map Comprehensive 8a FCP support Dedicated 1:1 band 8a supervision Weekly FCP peer support sessions Daily 8a ESP/APP problem patient question time Funding for courses/MSc module The Homerton's award winning MSK teams consists of:
GP & Consultant referred outpatient services Homerton Healthcare & community outpatient locations Post-orthopaedic surgery rehabilitation, sports medicine, pelvic health, ESP/APP, MSK ultrasonography, non-medical prescribers, virtual fracture & persistent pain clinics. Close working relationships with Radiology, Rheumatology, Orthopaedics, Podiatry & Emergency Medicine
Main duties of the job
Some of the main duties are as follows:
- Provide clinical expertise as a first contact Physiotherapist managing musculoskeletal patients. With our comprehensive support you will be expected to work towards and complete the Health Education England FCP roadmap stage 1 and 2.
- As an FCP you will be based in one of primary care networks and as a Band 7 you will work with our Physiotherapy team in our well equipped Physiotherapy Departments at St. Leonards' Hospital and satellite physiotherapy clinics across Hackney.
- The successful candidate will be a key member of the team in delivering clinical education and quality improvement projects throughout the service, as well as evidence-based patient-centred physiotherapy management to a varied caseload of musculoskeletal patients.
- You will have the opportunity to develop your supervision and mentorship skills with the opportunity to supervise band 6 Physiotherapists
