Job summary
We are seeking enthusiastic, caring, and highly motivated Clinical Support Workers with a student nursing background to join our teams across a variety of wards and services at bothHomerton Healthcareand our Community Sites.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who have completed nursing placementsandgained hands-on clinical experience during their nurse training and are able to confidently hit the ground running within a fast-paced healthcare environment. Applicants should already possess core Clinical Support Worker skills and be comfortable delivering direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses.
You will work closely with Registered Nurses and the wider multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients, supporting routine ward activities and maintaining patient dignity, comfort, and safety at all times.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate existing competencies in:
Observations and recording vital signs Personal care and hygiene support Assisting with nutrition and hydration Supporting patient mobility and comfort Effective communication and teamwork Understanding of basic clinical care and ward environments The successful candidates will be proactive, compassionate, and able to use their initiative while working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
You will assist with patient hygiene needs, toileting, nutritional intake, assisting patients with their mobility and physical comfort and monitoring and recording vital signs.
You will have good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work using your own initiative as well as working as part of a team.
In conjunction with registered staff, you'll contribute to the assessment of patient's activities of daily living and the care required.
