We have an exciting opportunity for a Safer Custody Practitioner to join our Mental Heath Team team at HMP Thameside, a category B Prison located in South East London
In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality. In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed. Hours
15hours per week 2 shifts of 7.5hourse between Monday - Friday Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £55,086 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Safer Custody Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will
Work as part of the Safer Custody Team to promote patient safety and safeguarding across the establishment. Manage the risks of people harming themselves or other people, or of being harmed by others Attend all safety meeting such as the weekly Safety Intervention meeting, ACCT , monthly Safety meeting and Use of Force If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.

Qualifications required
Qualified Mental Health Nurse - NMC Evidence of Continued Professional Development Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working Excellent communication skills Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, Quality Outcomes Framework, Evidence Based Practice and National Standards Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
