An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated individual to join our Extended Care Admin team. This role will be primarily based at our Great Horton surgery but will require travel to our other sites.
Main duties of the job
The primary responsibility of this role is to handle patient calls efficiently throughout the working day, managing appointment bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling.
To work within all relevant practice policies and procedural guidelines and to agreed practice standards and protocols.
Encourage a positive working environment in line with the practice values Friendly, Caring, Open, Innovative and for the team.
Provide administrative support to the practice looking after the following extended services: Musculoskeletal, Level 2 Diabetes, Joint Injection, Minor Surgery, Vasectomy, Neurology, Dermatology.

Key Responsibilities
Answer patient calls and manage appointment bookings (phone lines open 08:00 16:00). Register referrals accurately. Process and action NHS mail. Monitor and send letters from the post tray. Scan and attach paperwork to relevant records. Check and process documents in the work to do tray. Perform data entry tasks to ensure accurate record-keeping. Take minutes during meetings as required. Creating the patient questionnaire rota & sending for all services. Entering completed questionnaires on database. Work effectively both independently and as part of a large team. Follow established guidelines, identifying and updating them when necessary. Attend internal and external meetings as required. Collaborate with the Extended Care Team Manager to ensure adequate office coverage. Assist, direct, and support patients in accessing appropriate services or healthcare professionals in a professional and efficient manner. Maintain effective internal and external communication channels. Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes by providing suggestions and feedback. Additional Information
