Job summary
We are seeking Nutritionists to deliver our weight management programme to clients across Nottinghamshire as part of the Integrated Wellbeing Service. The role involves delivering key nutritional advice through both group sessions and one-to-one support, using motivational interviewing and behaviour change techniques to help clients overcome barriers and stay engaged with the programme. You will be supported by a multidisciplinary team of specialist clinicians and will have access to regular training and monthly clinical supervision to support your ongoing development in the role.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work as part of a team to deliver a weight management programme to clients across Nottinghamshire through telephone consultations, Zoom group sessions and face-to-face delivery. The role involves supporting clients throughout each stage of the programme by providing personalised advice to help them lose weight, achieve their health goals and make sustainable lifestyle changes, while maintaining and managing a caseload of participants. Responsibilities include communicating with clients via telephone, email and secure messaging, reviewing food diaries and programme progress, and escalating cases when additional support or specialist input is required. You will liaise closely with the wider multidisciplinary team through regular MDT meetings, contribute to the development of programme resources and curriculums, and provide ongoing support by responding to client enquiries via phone, email and messaging services. The role also includes attending training and team meetings, representing the organisation at relevant events, handling sensitive data with a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail, and ensuring accurate and timely data entry to maintain a clear and effective client pathway. In addition, the postholder will contribute to the wider integrated wellbeing service, supporting initiatives such as physical activity delivery, family weight management programmes, smoking cessation support and brief advice on alcohol consumption.

We are looking for nutritionists to deliver our weight management programme to clients in Nottinghamshire. You will deliver across the Integrated Wellbeing Service communicating key nutritional messages in both a group and one-to-one format.
Key to this is motivational interviewing and behavioural change skills, working through any potential barriers to adhering to the different phases of the programme and keeping patients committed to achieving their outcomes.
You will have the opportunity to attend monthly clinical supervision sessions and training sessions in order to upskill and develop whilst in the role. You will be supported by a team of specialist clinicians throughout and provided with relevant training to help you succeed in the role.
Your key responsibilities will be:
To work as part of a team to deliver a weight management programme to clients across Nottinghamshire, via telephone, zoom groups & face to face sessions.
Carrying out telephone consultations as well as communicating with clients via email and secure messaging service
To support clients throughout each phase of the programme by following the guidelines provided and escalating cases where necessary i.e. Alternative diets, analysis of food diaries etc.
To maintain a caseload of clients, supporting them to lose weight, achieve their health goals, and make sustainable lifestyle changes through personalised advice.
To liaise with the wider multidisciplinary team by regularly attending MDT
To support with the development of the resources and curriculums
To be on hand to answer phone calls, emails and messages from clients
To attend training and meetings when required
To represent the organisation at relevant events
Handling of sensitive data, approaching with great attention to detail
Accurate and complete inputting of data to ensure a coherent patient pathway
A commitment to delivery across other aspects of our integrated wellbeing service including the delivery of physical activity, family weight management support, support to quit smoking and brief advice around alcohol consumption.

Qualifications Essential
Degree in accredited Nutrition course (RfN, AfN membership)
Desirable
Completed or working towards Cambridge Diabetes Education Programme
Experience Essential
Experience of delivering groups and/or one-to-one behaviour change for adults. Experience of delivering health promotion / public health interventions in community settings. Experience working with hard-to-reach groups and tackling health inequalities. Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
