Job summary
ECS are looking for an engaged and passionate individual to provide expert advice regarding medicines management and PGD use across the company to monitor and improve medicines management and help develop services.
Main duties of the job
The ECS Pharmacist will provide expert advice and leadership in pharmaceutical care across the full range of activity of the Company.
Work with the Deputy Medical Director to oversee medicines management including ensuring compliance with relevant regulating bodies.
Oversee the implementation, use and governance of patient group directive medications.
Monitor and audit medicines and pharmaceuticals use.
Oversee and advise on the ECS Medicines Formulary and any changes made.
Support and advise ECS clinicians on matters relating to medicines use.
Will support in the development and implementation of new clinical services.
Engage with CPD opportunities and behave as an ambassador for ECS, displaying the organisations values and professionalism in all engagements

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
MPharm degree or equivalent Current registration and good standing with the General Pharmaceutical Council Evidence of ongoing continuing professional development
Desirable
Postgraduate clinical qualifications Hold a full UK driving license with no more than 3 penalty points.
Experience Essential
Post-registration experience as a Pharmacist Demonstrate good knowledge of the professional guidelines and codes of conduct appropriate to this role
Desirable
Experience of working in an ambulance trust or urgent care setting Understanding of the pre-hospital and events environment
Other Position Requires Essential
Flexible with regards to hours of work Enhanced DBS Clearance Commitment to the ECS team as evidenced by a written undertaking to participate in ECS CPD and training events
