Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Neurodevelopmental Support Coordinator to join our supportive team and facilitate effective communication for all.
This role involves providing information, advice, guidance, support and signposting for children, young people who have suspected neurodiverse needs and their families. The aim is to ensure families can access support at the earliest opportunity to meet the needs of children and family.
The successful candidate with work other Coordinators and the multi-disciplinary team across Lancashire and South Cumbria, whilst being based within our supportive team.
Main duties of the job
Communicate SLT CIC are delighted to be chosen as partners to provide theNeurodevelopmental (ND) Support Hubfor the Blackpool and Fylde area. This new service will provide consistent, equitable, ND support in-conjunction with partners across Lancashire and South Cumbria. Providing structured, inbound early support model that families can access directly for timely advice, practical strategies, information, signposting and early intervention support.
This new service has funding secured for the first 9 months although we hope the funding will continue for a much longer period.
We may be able to offer a job share with some Speech and Language Therapy Assistant work if we find candidates who have the motivation and aptitude for a mixed post.

As the Neurodevelopmental Support Coordinator, for theBlackpool & Fylde area you will provide a structured, early support model for families to offer timely advice, practical strategies, information, signposting and early intervention support.
Tier 1 early support
On receipt of referral, making contact with the service user:Follow a structured support conversation template;Undertake a needs-led assessment;Signpost to resources;Provide personalised follow-up; and Capture data for reporting.
Universal early help
Support the use of waiting well strategies;Provide pathway guidance and clarification; and Co-create short suport plan.
Tier 2 connect and build capacity
Deliver online workshops and local hub workshops;Host drop-ins and peer support groups and themed support sessions; and Offer ND programme interventions.

Person Specification
Experience Essential
Experience of communicating with young children and their families. Experience of working with children and young people who are neuro-diverse. Experience working with multi-disciplinary colleagues for the benefit of service users.
Desirable
Experience or training in modelling, coaching and supervising others. Experience in accurate, timely record keeping and recording information for monitoring.
Qualifications Essential
GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
Desirable
Level 3 in education related course
Skills Essential
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A coaching ethos. Respect for confidential information.
