Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly-motivated individual to join the Crisis Intervention Older Peoples Team (CITOP).

Candidates must be organised and able to work to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable nature are essential for this role, especially during telephone contact with patients, staff and the general public.

Word Processing to RSA II/OCR II or equivalent, proficient keyboard skills, experience in the use of Microsoft Office/Word packages and a good standard of English are essential attributes. The ability to prioritise workload, whilst maintaining flexibility in response to the changing needs of the department and adopting a proactive approach to work, are also necessary traits.

You must possess excellent communication and problem solving skills, be educated to NVQ2 or have equivalent experiential learning.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to undertake administrative duties, deal with telephone enquiries from patients' families regarding their loved ones and other general office duties. You will also be required to place stock orders, input patient information onto the relevant patient systems and liaise with different staff working as part of a Multi-Disciplinary team.

The role is varied and you will need the ability to work as part of a team and use your initiative in day to day tasks.

You will also be required to input data onto the patient administration system (SystmOne).
