An opportunity has arisen for a Administrator to join our Paediatric Continence team!
The post holder will provide comprehensive confidential administrative/secretarial service to the Paediatric Continence team and the services users: necessitating contact with external bodies, clinical, nursing, management, executive and clerical staff.
They will also provide a first class administrative service ensuring daily workload and priorities are achieved to ensure a smooth efficient service is provided.

Main duties of the job
Plan, organise meetings and training events, this includes booking venues and hospitality. Design Flyers and send information out in advance to attendees and keep a record of attendance To manage the daily referrals and record information onto the electronic patient record system (S1) ensuring fast tracking and marked as urgent referrals are actioned and redirect any inappropriate referrals. To organise and maintain appointments for the patients of the paediatric continence service. To support the Paediatric Continence team members with the arranging, typing, and written correspondence. To maintain effective communication links are and networks are maintained in the form of written, verbal and electronic systems and act as a point of contact within the service, trust and external users. To support the development and organise clinic; maintain clinic rota's for the service and support clinical staff in the management of administration relating to the clinics. Answering the telephone, taking, recording and distributing messages accurately, (including Patient enquiries) and responding to queries appropriately; sign posting where necessary. Management of paper/ electronic diaries for self and team Management of own workload, to be able to work effectively without direct supervision, prioritising own workload.

We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
