SENIOR ADMINISTRATOR with Medical Secretary Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Medical Secretary to support our growing team of Community Paediatricians and clinicians (across 3 centres) within the friendly Clinical Support Service (CSS) team for Children and Young People's Specialist Services.
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, high attention to detail individual with a mature, responsible and flexible outlook. Previous experience in an NHS environment desirable. You will have a caring and courteous manner and enjoy working with and meeting people. You will also be able to work unsupervised and display initiative, whilst being aware of team membership.

Main duties of the job
Your main responsibilities will be to provide comprehensive medical administrative support, working closely with the Community Paediatricians and the wider clinical teams for Children's Specialist Services.

Qualifications and Training Essential
NVQ level 4 in Business Studies or Administration or equivalent knowledge or experience. RSAIII (or equivalent) Educated to G.C.S.E. or equivalent in English and Maths Audio Typing/AMSPAR qualification
Experience and Knowledge Essential
Experienced Administrator at Senior Level Experience of line management responsibility Experience of preparation of reports and taking of and producing minutes, together with setting agendas and distribution of associated papers Experience of arranging large meetings Experience of managing diaries Microsoft Office software packages, to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint Experience of composing correspondence for approval Ability to organise and evaluate data, assessing its importance by creating and maintaining databases and spreadsheets Ability to construct clear, grammatically correct letters and reports presenting work accurately and neatly Takes initiative and uses own judgement in anticipating and dealing with queries and problems
