Job summary
The successful candidate will have experience in data collection and analysis, and have the appropriate skills to design, develop, generate and maintain reports. You will demonstrate your attention to detail, check accuracy of your reporting, and will be able to present complex data in an easily understandable format.
You will be expected to analyse data from multiple sources and provide key analysis and decision-making information for clinical and operational activities within the Directorate.
The Data Analyst reports to the Clinical Service Lead for all the duties and responsibilities stated below as well as any other duties required within reason, as assigned by the management and medical team. It is for the Data Analyst to communicate effectively and frequently with the clinical and management team.
Main duties of the job
The Data Analyst will be a self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude, that can prioritise their own workload to meet deadlines. They will be responsible for creating, updating, maintaining, and improving reports, ensuring that the work is completed to a high standard. They will need to have the skill base to interrogate data and create appropriate reports to support the clinical team. They will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the operations & clinical teams and liaise with them on a regular basis to understand processes, enabling the Data Analyst to correctly identify what to report on.
Good communication and MS Office skills are a must as the Data Analyst will be expected to publish information in an excellent format for use at any level within the organisation.
The Data Analyst will be expected to work across sites due to the meetings they will have to attend with operations and clinical teams.

Qualifications Essential
*Educated to A level standard plus 2 years' NHS experience gained in data analyst post *Previous experience of presenting complex data in a user-friendly format
Desirable
*Extended experience of working in a healthcare or similar administrative environment *Exceptional negotiating skills, with the ability to influence others
Experience Essential
*Production of key performance indicator reports *Experience of presenting complex data in a user-friendly format *Thorough Knowledge of Microsoft Office Access and Excel creation/manipulation of pivot tables/charts
Desirable
*Experience of Endobase, Microsoft TSQL and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (D) *Knowledge of Endobase, Microsoft TSQL and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
