Description of Post
The Faculty of Engineering & Technology has a varied portfolio of industry and professional practice focused programmes.
The Department of Computing within the Faculty of Engineering and Technology seeks applications in the following areas that may be appointed on a permanent full-time capacity:
Artificial Intelligence
Delivery will normally be on campus and, as a condition of employment, successful candidates will be expected to be available to teach on campus.
The post may include elements of project-based and blended learning, with online learning by agreement.
The lecturer will join an enthusiastic team engaging in collaborative learning on other shared modules across the range of disciplines.
Pedagogic staff development is encouraged and cognate qualification progression is also supported.
Essential Qualifications
Minimum
An Honours Degree (2.2 or higher) in a relevant Level 8 degree [as specified in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)], or equivalent majoring in Computing and/or Artificial Intelligence. Three years relevant post-qualification experience i.e., 3 years relevant experience having gained the qualifications above.
