About You

Degree or Diploma Level Education as Registered Nurse or ODP(RN Child / RSCN) Current registration with NMC/HCPC Highly motivated, newly qualified welcome as well as experienced Band 5 Theatre Practitioners in Scrub and/or Anaesthetic areas, (rotation between the two areas for ODPs) We welcome and encourage any prospective applicants to come visit our department; please contact us beforehand to arrange and do not hesitate to contact us with any other questions.

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Team leader in theatre and to a Clinical lead, some of your responsibilities will include:

You will be expected to work within a self-contained theatre team on a daily basis. Utilise clinical and risk assessment skills to maintain a safe environment. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care plans for children/young people and their familiespresenting for care within the framework of the nursing/theatre team. Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure smooth patient pathways and optimal surgical outcomes.
